Introducing Healthy Future: A stronger, bolder and simpler approach to sustainability
We are proud to share Healthy Future: Teva’s renewed sustainability strategy. Building on our long-standing commitment to advance environmental, social and governance (ESG) topics, Healthy Future reflects our actions to care for people, the planet and our business.
Teva leverages our resources, products and skills to help address global challenges and support our communities, while also ensuring our business success so that we can continue providing medicines to the millions of patients who count on us.
Our Pivot to Growth strategy enables us to be a stronger, bolder and simpler organization—and Healthy Future takes the same approach to sustainability. Here’s what we mean:
Stronger: Continued and enhanced action and transparency across all topics
Our renewed strategy guides us in creating a healthy future: healthy people, a healthy planet and a healthy business. As part of this, we will continue to address the 27+ sustainability-related topics that impact our business and on which we make an impact—from employee engagement and human rights to innovation and data privacy—sharing our actions and progress transparently. We know we’ll learn a lot along the way, and we’ll adjust over time to ensure our actions are thoughtful, intentional and lead to meaningful change.
Bolder: A focus on key topics
Of all the sustainability topics relevant to Teva, we’ve chosen six topics—two in each area of Healthy Future—to be our focus. These include:
- Healthy People: Help more people get the medicines they need, foster an inclusive culture and diverse representation to enable business excellence and innovation
- Healthy Planet: Tackle climate change and limit pharmaceuticals in the environment
- Healthy Business: Manage our company responsibly, holding ourselves to the highest standards and expecting the same of our suppliers
For each of these topics, we have set ambitious, long-term targets to hold us to our promises and help measure our progress.
Simpler: Streamlined ways of working and accountability
We’ve sharpened our approach, outlining how we incorporate sustainability in all we do and clarifying who at Teva is responsible for overseeing, managing and acting on our Healthy Future strategy. Colleagues at every level of our company will continue to embed sustainability into our decisions and actions, because sustainability is everyone’s business at Teva.
