Caring for Caregivers: Heather’s Journey with HD

As a fatal, neurological condition, receiving a Huntington’s disease (HD) diagnosis can be devastating. Heather Thurgood Wilmoth, whose husband was diagnosed with HD in 2016, has learned firsthand the difficulties this condition can pose.

As the primary caregiver for Nathan, Heather shares her experience as a caregiver for someone living with HD and the ways she and her family continue find joy and love in the small moments.
