4 Things You Might Not Know About Our 2025 Healthy Future Report

2025 Health Future Report

Every year, we publish our Healthy Future Report . It’s one of the clearest ways to see how all the different parts of our business form something bigger: creating a healthy future.

If you come away from this year’s report with a few things, make it these:

#1: We set targets to tie our sustainability progress to our financials (and exceeded them)

In 2021, we made a promise: deliver on bold sustainability targets—and hold ourselves accountable financially if we don’t. In short: we exceeded all these sustainability-linked bond (SLB) targets, which benefited our business, but more importantly, helped us get medicines to more patients while at the same time reducing our environmental impact.

#2: We helped people get the care they need (and not just by donating medicines)

We donated more than 361 million doses of medicines in 2025, reaching nearly 8 million people. And our generic medicines contributed $36.4 billion in savings, making treatments more affordable. But access to care depends on more than just medicines. There may not be a nearby clinic. Or enough trained staff. We help close these gaps.

For example, our Community Routes: Access to Mental Health Care program supports people with anxiety and depression in the U.S. who may not otherwise receive care. With our nonprofit partners, this program provides medicines along with screenings, therapy, community events and healthcare professional training. In 2025, we supported nearly 400,000 people around the world through programs like this, strengthening health systems and helping healthcare providers provide better care.

#3: We reduced our environmental footprint (because the health of the planet impacts the health of people)

The environmental efforts in our report might sound complicated, but the reason we focus on them is simple: we’re all in for better health. Take antimicrobial waste, for example. If it gets into the environment during manufacturing, it can contribute to antimicrobial resistance—a serious global health threat. That’s when germs evolve over time, making infections harder to treat. We work hard to prevent pharmaceutical pollution, and in 2025, 73% of applicable Teva manufacturing sites achieved safe discharge levels.

Similarly, when greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions build up in the atmosphere, they trap heat and contribute to climate change. This can make air pollution worse (affecting conditions like asthma) or increase heatwaves (which is dangerous for older adults and people with chronic illnesses). 01 Last year, we reduced GHG emissions across our operations by 39% (compared to 2019) and across our value chain by 32% (compared to 2020), exceeding our 25% reduction targets. And 60% of the electricity we used came from renewable sources.

#4: We upheld strong ethics and integrity (because people need to be able to rely on us)

Integrity is at the core of how we work and maintain trust with our patients, partners and each other. In 2025, over 99% of our employees completed their assigned compliance and ethics training, reinforcing a culture grounded in accountability and transparency.

A healthier future is taking shape

These are just a few examples of work across Teva—getting people medicines and care, making our environment healthier and helping our business succeed. It’s also the kind of progress that put Teva on the list of TIME’s World’s Most Sustainable Companies (for the second year in a row).

That’s just the highlight reel. The rest is in the full report , so why not take a look?
