Jennifer Morrison Reveals How Her Journey with Migraine is More Than a Headache

Actress Shares Her Migraine Experience as Part of MoreToMigraine.com

Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. today announced the launch of More To Migraine, a national campaign aimed at raising awareness of migraine and all that comes with it. The campaign features actress and director Jennifer Morrison who is speaking publicly for the first time about the impact migraine has had on her career and busy lifestyle.

“Throughout my career I have played many roles, but migraine sufferer has been the hardest,” said Jennifer Morrison, More To Migraine spokesperson. “My hope is that by sharing my personal experience, I can encourage the nearly 36 million Americans who suffer from migraine to talk to their healthcare provider about how their migraine impacts them.”

Migraine is more than a headache. The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke defines migraine as recurrent attacks of moderate to severe headache pain that is throbbing or pulsing, worse with physical activity, and often strikes one side of the head. These headaches can be accompanied by sensitivity to light and sound as well as nausea and vomiting. The frequency, severity and characteristics of migraine vary widely among individuals and many people with migraine may deny their condition or feel embarrassed.

“I know firsthand that not all migraines are the same and aren’t just limited to my head. Talking with my doctor helped me better understand my migraine characteristics and triggers,” Morrison said.

MoreToMigraine.com was created to help provide migraine sufferers with information and resources to help them talk with their healthcare provider about their individual migraine experience. The website features:
