Teva Helps the Victims of the Nepal Earthquake

On April 25, a devastating earthquake of 7.9 magnitude hit Nepal and the surrounding areas.

Teva Helps the Victims of the Nepal Earthquake

The earthquake, the largest to hit the country since 1934, has taken the lives of at least 5,000 people in Nepal, Tibet, Bangladesh and the Nepal-China border, with thousands more injured. The number of casualties is expected to rise, as many are feared trapped under rubble and at least 15 aftershocks caused further damage to buildings and increased the risk of collapse.

The people in this area need considerable support including food, water, medical care and emergency shelter.

Acting upon our values and our lasting commitment to reach out to the most vulnerable communities affected by such tragedies, we are partnering with international non-profit organizations to respond to the most pressing needs on the ground with Teva products and medicines. At the same time, Teva employees are donating to the cause with each donation matched by corporate funding.

Teva supports the emergency response operation launched by the Red Cross, to deliver assistance and support to as many people as possible, focusing on emergency health and care, emergency shelter and settlement, livelihood, and more.
