​The poet, Al Tayeb Ghanayem, is the son of a family of Arab poets. Ghanayem is also a translator and journalist and he lives at Baka Al-Gharbia. Ghanayem writes in two languages, Arabic and Hebrew, and is currently working on his Ph.D. at the Department of Hebrew Literature, Tel Aviv University.

Among others, he translated an anthology of the new Palestinian poetry, published by Mitan. Al Tayeb won the 2012 Teva Prize for Poetry.
