​Maria joined Teva USA in 2001 as an executive assistant to the CEO of Teva. Maria was immediately convinced that she was in the right place. "I loved the CEO's energy," Maria shares, "he had phenomenal ideas and vision. I had a lot of interaction with senior staff who always encouraged me to grow and pursue my dreams."

 

Working at Teva helped Maria figure out what she could do. Teva's tuition reimbursement program encouraged Maria to pursue her academic dreams and complete her Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Management.  
 
In 2007, when a position opened up for an HR Coordinator in the company, Maria didn’t hesitate. "I was curious and wanted to see things from a different perspective; Teva makes it very hard not to grow and advance," Maria says with a smile.
 
"I’m a hometown girl," Maria confides, "and I never would have believed that I would find myself on a business trip to Europe or working with senior management of a global company. It’s amazing what an open mind and great opportunities can do.
